SELFIES ARE OFFICIALLY IN VOGUE

Marc Jacobs

Am I the only one that thinks Kim Kardashian should be taken seriously by the high fashion world? I know that lots don't like her (Katie 'Biggest Bitch in Britain' Hopkins recently summer her up as One Large Bottom) but I've always had a soft spot for the Kardashian Klan. The show is hopelessly addictive, you can't deny it! And whilst Kim struggles to be accepted by the fashionable masses it seems her younger half-sister has no issue. Kendall Jenner (She of the Never-ending Legs) utterly shattered the barriers of FROW status by walking in Marc Jacob's New York Fashion Week AW14 show, surely in an attempt to keep abreast of the current trends.

Quite.

Jenner looks fantastic, and having the stigma of the Kardashian name shouldn't prevent her from a career she undoubtedly would excel in. I just hope the rest of the fashpack make like Marc and realise this sooner rather than later!

In the wake of her controversial appearance on the runway, Jenner appears in a new Vogue.com feature modelling 'The Best Looks of New York Fashion Week'; shot by Jeff Henrikson and written by Mark Guiducci, the piece features Jenner in striking looks courtesy of Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, The Row, Oscar de la Renta and more. The inspiration for the shoot is selfies which couldn't really be any more perfect for someone with 8.7million Instagram followers?

The pictures are simple but I love them, they let the clothes and the styling speak for themselves, whilst the selfie angle adds a freshness that American Vogue does so well, something British Vogue would do well to learn from (far too many features about moving to the country and dank looking shots in clouded fields of late). My favourite image is the Marc Jacobs at the top of the page with the pink bob - I especially love the bleached brows!

What do you think? Does Jenner deserve such a coveted role?
