When exploring the seaside village of Sissi we stumbled across this painted electrical road unit, 'I heart Sisi'. With a stunning harbour, restaurants and cafes directly on the sea wall and more stray cats than the RSPCA, the sentiment is true. The recent heat wave (that has ended today, thank god) had nothing on the Cretan climate. 34 degrees demands cooling measures whenever possible - white was my saviour. This spin on the American flag was a nice little reprieve from all-white blandness (if you think clean cut white tailoring will be suitable here think again) and the shorts? They were at the top of my suitcase.
